Six ways in

01

STEM lab (ages 7–11)

Hands-on science + engineering. Build robots, code games, design bridges, make things explode (safely).

02

Art studio (ages 5–14)

Painting, sculpture, ceramics. Quarterly student gallery shows the fridge door can't compete with.

03

Chess club (ages 6–14)

Taught by rated players who still compete. Beginners to tournament prep, grouped by level rather than age.

04

Robotics (ages 9–14)

From kit robots to Arduino and on to competition builds, with a team entered in a regional league each spring.

05

Drama (ages 8–14)

Two productions a year. Acting, voice, stagecraft — no audition required.

06

Summer camps

Themed week-long full-day camps in June + July. Lunch included, screens not.

A child working with markers and craft materials

Built by teachers who wanted smaller rooms.

We started this after fifteen years in classrooms of thirty, convinced that the magic happens at ten. Small groups, real materials, and teachers with time to notice what each kid is actually curious about.

  • Ten kids per class — never more
  • Teachers are credentialed educators, not sitters
  • Progress notes home every fortnight
03A term, week by weekStructure kids can feel

What ten weeks looks like.

  1. Weeks 1–2 · Foundations

Skills, safety, and the term's big project introduced. New kids find their footing fast in a room of ten.

  2. Weeks 3–8 · The build

The long middle where the real work happens — iterating, failing safely, trying again. Progress notes home each fortnight.

  3. Weeks 9–10 · The showcase

Every term ends with something to show: a gallery night, a tournament, a demo day, a performance. Families invited.

Parents say

The Tuesday they won't skip.

My son went from "I hate science" to building his own Arduino projects at home. Worth every cent.

Parent questions

What are the class sizes?+

Ten kids maximum, always, with a credentialed lead teacher. Robotics and drama add an assistant.

Can we try before enrolling?+

Yes — the first session of any term is a paid drop-in ($45). If you enrol afterwards, it counts toward the term.

What about missed sessions?+

One make-up session per term in a parallel class, scheduled with the front desk.

How do pickups work?+

Authorised-pickup list per child, photo-checked at the door. After-school pickup runs from partner schools within a mile.

Are staff background-checked?+

Every adult in the building — teachers, assistants, front desk — clears a full background check annually.

Is there financial aid?+

A limited number of assisted places each term. Ask at the front desk — the conversation is always private.

Reading together, mid-story

Give them a term of curiosity.
